Terms
The terms on which this website and the Nucleora software are offered. Last updated 5 October 2026.
What Nucleora is
Nucleora is design and analysis software for nucleic acid constructs. It computes sequence properties, applies published design rules, and produces construct designs and reports.
What Nucleora is not
This is the most important section on this page.
- It is not a medical device, and holds no FDA clearance, CE mark, ISO certification, SOC 2 attestation or CLIA status.
- It does not assess biosafety, biosecurity, immunogenicity, or off-target effects in a living system.
- It does not guarantee that a construct it designs will work, express, fold, assemble, or behave as predicted.
- Its outputs are predictions and calculations, a substantial number of which the product itself labels heuristic. They are not experimental results.
Any construct going into cells, animals or humans is your responsibility and goes through your own institutional biosafety review. Validate at the bench.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for complying with the law and with your institution's rules, including any controls on regulated pathogens, toxins and select agents. Do not use this software to design anything you are not authorised to make.
Research and education use
The software is offered for research and education use. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for any loss of data, profit, materials or experimental time, arising from use of this software or website.
